These professionals can help navigate the healing process as they shine a light on aspects of ourselves that we may not see clearly. They provide valuable insight, assisting you in identifying and addressing issues that may be hindering your progress. Seeking guidance is a foundational step in supporting yourself on this transformative journey.

Mindfulness:

Embracing mindfulness is the next crucial aspect of exploring your shadows. Taking time to be alone with your thoughts and emotions is essential for reflection and recognizing any blocks that may hinder your personal growth. Mindfulness involves self-awareness, which is key to transformation. Engaging in practices like meditation, walking in nature without distractions, and setting aside moments for undivided attention to your inner wisdom can help you connect with your intuition and gain clarity on your life's direction. Additionally, techniques like Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) can assist in acknowledging and releasing trapped emotions from your body, allowing you to process your shadows effectively.

Inspired Action:

If, for example, you feel frustrated with your current living situation, visualize a more organized and satisfying space. Focusing on the emotions and feelings your desires evoke, rather than just the material aspects, will help manifest your dreams effectively. Visualizing your desires in this way brings your goals into alignment with your true desires.

Manifest with Intention:

Manifesting with intention goes hand in hand with visualization. As you align with your desires, the universe responds in kind, bringing opportunities and synchronicities into your life. However, it's crucial to be clear on the emotions and feelings you want to experience, rather than fixating solely on material possessions. By focusing on the emotional essence of your desires, you align your vibration with what you truly want, facilitating their manifestation. Manifesting with intention is about creating a resonance with your desires that attracts them into your reality.

Embrace Your Wholeness:

[00:00:21] cara: Our shadows are the parts of us that we've buried deep within. The fears, insecurities and unresolved issues. The dark corners of our psyche that we'd rather avoid. Yep. By shining a light on these shadows. We begin a transformational journey. [00:00:39] cara: So in this episode, I'm going to break down ways. You can use your shadows to guide you towards healing. [00:01:07] cara: This is going to be a deep but powerful episode. And I cannot wait to dive in. [00:01:14] \ [00:01:14] Intro --- [00:01:14] cara: Welcome to floductivity. The podcast that guides you on a transformative journey towards spiritual wisdom, self development and healing practices. All aimed at elevating your intuition and aligning you with your soul's purpose. I'm your host, Cara Dempsey. And I'm thrilled to have you joining me today as we learn together. [00:01:36] Guidance --- [00:01:36] cara: So let's dive into how we can use our shadows. Towards healing and growth and aligning with our desires. [00:01:45] cara: So the first thing is, especially when there's some deep, dark shadows that we're trying to work through. Seeking guidance to support you is the best place to start. Whether you seek [00:02:00] out a therapist. A life coach. [00:02:03] cara: Or a counselor to help you. Through this process, because a lot of times when we start to dive into these shadows, We bring out these deep places that we need healing. And having someone to help us navigate that. Is the best place that you can really support yourself in this process. [00:02:25] cara: Using a therapist and a coach are the two main ways that I've supported myself through these shadows. Because a lot of the times we don't see our own shadows and someone else can point out. Certain things that we may be doing. One of the things that I would do when I was talking to my therapist was talking about these crazy ideas I had and in the idea of manifesting. The concept of talking about how my ideas are crazy. Was making it hard for them to come into fruition. I'm [00:03:00] making more of a distance between me and aligning with my desires. And so that's something that I've been working towards is because somewhere along the way, as a child, these crazy big grand ideas, I would come up with. I was conditioned to make them think that they were crazy. And so that has been one way that someone else has brought light. Into the way I talk about these endeavors, I'm going after and it's been helpful. And my healing process into becoming my own cheerleader, because that's what you need to do towards your own goals. [00:03:38] Mindfulness --- [00:03:38] cara: The next step into finding your own shadows is embracing mindfulness. Being alone with yourself. Is necessary to reflect in how you felt throughout the day. And if anything came up to create a block in moving yourself forward. Becoming [00:04:00] mindful. Is having the awareness of your thoughts, your emotions and your reactions. And so the awareness, your self-awareness is key to transformation. So what are some tools that can help you be more mindful in your daily practice? [00:04:18] cara: It's doing meditation, whether you're listening to music or a guided meditation. There are also meditations like walking meditations, driving meditations. But I recommend trying to do something where you're not actively doing anything so you can be present with yourself. [00:04:38] cara: Walking in nature is also another way. I recommend that if you are walking to not listen to music, Having too many. Things connected to your senses in this time. I could take away from being in that present moment. [00:04:54] cara: It's finding that time throughout the day to have undivided attention to [00:05:00] your inner wisdom. If you want to connect with your intuition and you want to have in your inner being your inner, knowing that you are taking the right steps in your life, it's having space for that inner knowing that inner being to come through and communicate with you. [00:05:16] cara: Once you become aware of the emotions and the feelings that are kind of getting stuck in your body, then it's finding the EFT or emotional freedom technique to be able to help you tap it out. Tap those emotions acknowledge those emotions and move it out of your body. [00:05:36] cara: If you're having maybe a money shadow stay tuned until next week, because I'm doing this exercise and meditation for you too. Create momentum in your life and see if any shadows for money. Are coming up for you. [00:05:52] cara: So when you do this, you can ask questions of what is triggering my shadow. What happened [00:06:00] that this shadow of mine is coming through. [00:06:02] cara: Journaling that you can even do a voice journal if you don't like physically writing it out. But having this conversation with yourself to be able to process through the shadows is really important. Just having the awareness. Isn't going to get you through. And have that momentum to work through these shadows. So what thoughts are you having about these shadows? Are you having any memories from your childhood? It's allowing that awareness and seeing what comes up, what's rustled up in the movement of these shadows. And so how does that make you feel? What are these memories that are coming to light when you have these emotions come through. [00:06:44] cara: And connect with that version of yourself. [00:06:47] cara: And how can you give that love and acceptance to that inner child? That inner teen, that young adult. That needs that love and acceptance In working through these [00:07:00] shadows. [00:07:00] Inspired Action --- [00:07:00] cara: So the next step on working through your shadows is taking inspired action. Working through those shadows. So if there was a time where maybe you didn't feel accepted as a child, how can you create this relationship with that inner child heal that disconnect that you felt. Take your inner child on a date show that love and attention that you needed in that time of your life. [00:07:29] cara: use the new found awareness to take action. That challenge your fears. And this is the idea of where your growth begins. [00:07:38] cara: So the question is what is your inner voice telling you? [00:07:42] cara: What are some things that can help you take action? Towards healing, the shadow. [00:07:49] cara: Were you told that you had to sit still and now you're having a hard time of understanding your energy. Dance with yourself. Is it [00:08:00] that. You were told to be quiet when you were singing. Singh. Do these things that you were told not to do? And do it for yourself for that inner version of yourself that needs that healing. [00:08:13] cara: \ [00:08:13] Visualize --- [00:08:13] cara: So the next step is to visualize your desires. As you confront your shadows, it's important for you to visualize your desires. With clarity and intention. See yourself living this dream life. What are the feelings that you are getting from these desires? See yourself. [00:08:36] cara: to create an example around this is say you're living in a house that doesn't have the ideal storage for you. [00:08:43] cara: You're getting frustrated because you don't have a place to put all your things. But if you keep living in this vibration of being frustrated that your house isn't giving you that desired outcome. It's time for you to look and say, how can I make this [00:09:00] closet? This area? More efficient and organized so that I feel satisfied every time I open it. So, what can you do now to get that desired outcome? Because if you keep living in this frustration that your house isn't. Filling all your needs. You're going to push that new house. Further and further away. So it's a call to get clear on the desired feeling of this. Idea that you truly want. And then being able to bring that into your daily life. Because when you vibrate at a frequency of satisfaction, you will bring more satisfaction into your life. And so it's using these shadows, these frustrations as clarity points of saying, this is how I feel now. I'm feeling frustrated. So what can I do? To feel satisfied. what do I have control of to be able to make this a more satisfying daily event in my life? [00:09:59] \ [00:09:59] Manifest with intention --- [00:09:59] cara: So [00:10:00] this next step. Is piggybacked off of the last one. And this one is manifesting with intention. [00:10:06] cara: As you align with your desires. [00:10:09] cara: You'll find that the universe responds in kind. [00:10:13] cara: Opportunities synchronicities. We'll lead you on your path. [00:10:18] cara: Be very clear on the feelings that you want and not the material, things that you are trying to manifest. [00:10:25] cara: If you put so much weight into the materialistic things that you're desiring. It's not going to manifest in your life as quickly as you want. But again, what are the feelings you would get from buying? A new pair of pants or a new pair of shoes. Is it the comfort? Is it the style that you're looking for? And align with that vibration of what you're truly wanting. And then that's when the things that you desire will become an alignment with your desires.[00:11:00] [00:11:00] Embrace your wholeness --- [00:11:00] cara: Okay, so this next important step is probably one of the most important pieces of this. And it's embracing your wholeness. [00:11:10] cara: Ultimately integrating your shadows is helping you become whole. [00:11:16] cara: It's accepting yourself, both the light and the dark. [00:11:20] cara: So I encourage you to embrace and accept yourself as you are. [00:11:25] cara: When you put yourself down for not being organized or efficient. [00:11:30] cara: Or productive enough. You're pushing your wholeness away. When you're putting yourself down for the way you look, the way you feel, the way you're not doing things like everybody else, you're pushing that wholeness away. So when you begin to accept your shadows as a part of you. A really important part of how you can heal, how you can transform. In your reality, that is when you start [00:12:00] to create this self love relationship. Because we are not meant to be perfect. We are perfectly imperfect. Exactly how we are. How we're designed. And so when we can look at where our energy is being used and where we have. Consistent energy. And where we have inconsistent energy and stop trying to put ourselves in a Box. That we were not meant to fit in. That is when we transform. Into this reality, we desire. [00:12:32] Resources --- [00:12:32] cara: If you're looking for some resources to help you work through your shadows. There's a few that are helping me right now. I just finished the artist's way, which is a 12 week. Course, but it's more than that. It's just something to help bring to light. The things that may be blocking you from becoming the best version of yourself. I'm also reading. How to do the work, and this is a way to help you work through [00:13:00] these areas in your life and understanding that healing. Isn't just a one day thing. It's a daily practice for you to show up and be who you are and understand and integrate it into your daily practice. Spiritual integration is truly important. If you are meant to be on the spiritual path, you are not meant to separate it from your daily life. So how can you integrate these spiritual tools into your daily life to support your healing and your growth? [00:13:29] cara: Another thing that has helped me along this process is the shadow work journal. I got it off tick tock, and it's been something that's been beautiful to refer to when I need to work through the shadows that may come up from time to time. [00:13:43] cara: In the dance of light and shadow, we discover our true power. Our shadows are not to be feared, but to be embraced as our guides on the journey. [00:13:53] cara: So my friends. Step into the light, acknowledge your shadows. [00:13:58] cara: And let them [00:14:00] be a compass towards your healing. [00:14:02] cara: Growth in the manifestation of your deepest desires.
